Shaping the Feast: Hand-built pottery workshop

Join us to hand-build a unique, large platter for our upcoming Autumn equinox gathering.

Around 20,000 years ago, humans shaped the first clay vessels to hold the harvest — one of our earliest thank yous to nature. Pottery taught us how to preserve, and how to share.

Slow down, connect with the earth, and let your hands capture both today's harvest and tomorrow's hopes.

Led by designer Yuyu Lin and using terracotta clay from our reuse materials yard, this free pottery workshop welcomes anyone who wants to help craft pieces for our feast table. Your platter will take centre stage at our feast in September, then live on — reused and displayed at Cultivate Colindale.
