Community Growers Plots
Cultivate Colindale has 20 free community growers plots for local individuals and families to grow their own vegetables, fruit, herbs, flowers and other crops.
The plots offer space for growing, sharing, learning and connecting with neighbours, contributing to the wider community of growers and makers at Cultivate Colindale.
How it works
Who can apply: Plots are free and intended for local individuals and families. Priority is given to residents living within one mile of Cultivate Colindale, although applications from those living further away are also welcome.
Sharing a plot: A plot can be registered in one person's name or shared by a small group of family members, friends or neighbours.
Growing: Plots are for active cultivation, and community growers are expected to care for and maintain their plots regularly.
Access: Plots are generally accessible during Cultivate Colindale's opening hours, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
Shared facilities: Growers have access to a small shared shed, unheated propagation facilities, watering facilities and composting facilities.
Sustainable growing: Community growers are expected to use environmentally responsible and sustainable growing methods that support healthy soil, biodiversity and the wider environment.
Join the Waiting List
All 20 Community Growers Plots have now been allocated to our first cohort of growers. We hope to introduce additional plots in the future. In the meantime, you can join our waiting list, and we'll notify you when a plot becomes available.
